Female. 24. Originally from Milwaukie, Oregon. Studied at UO in Eugene (GO DUCKS!) and London, England. JAD major. Communication Studies minor. Two parents. Two brothers. One boyfriend. One surrogate doggie.
One of my (many) nicknames is “moose.” Yes it’s a little unusual for a girl to have that nickname, but I like it! On top of that, my dad calls me “goose.” I am just hoping that there is no correlation with the movie “Top Gun.” That would both be corny and a little mean.
I used to believe that King Kong lived in the space behind my bathroom door. I would talk to him when I had to pee in the middle of the night and he would make sure the boogie man didn’t bother me.
I am terrified of spiders yet have no problem with snakes. I have a theory that people are either afraid of one or the other, but not both.
*on a side note: I am mostly responsible for a snake that ended up in my cross country coach’s tent freshman year of high school.
I love to bake. Anything from bread to pizza to cookies to brownies. Good thing I run 🙂
I grew up with only brothers and spent half my life being raised like a boy. Because of this I am not as prissy as a lot of girls and don’t really understand a lot of the drama that they create. Thus, living with girls in college was quite an experience.
If I could have one wish I would like to be fluent in all the languages of the world. I currently only know english and even that comes with its problems.
I have always wanted to dye my hair a different color (I am naturally blonde) but am too afraid of the results. I settle for highlights.
I would love to be able to compete in a triathalon at least once in my life.
I try to believe that everything happens for reason but sometimes it is really hard.
If I see a movie I like I can watch it once a day for several days in a row and not get tired of it.
One of my biggest fears in life is drowning. I nearly did once on Lake Constance and another time on the Clackamas River. However, I absolutely LOVE to swim.
I am stronger and tougher than a lot of people think I am. I hate when people act like I am frail or will break and love proving them wrong.
You may have gotten this from the previous comment but I can be really competitive.
I am religious but do not wear my faith on my sleeve like a lot of people I know.
I love singing at the top of my lungs in the shower or when no one is home.
I have been drawing since I was really little. I started by drawing the characters from the Berenstein Bears and have worked my way up to portraits done in graphite pencil, my favorite medium.
I once slept on concrete. I do not recommend this.
I sometimes create really awkward food combinations just to see what they taste like (think bananas in pasta sauce) and am willing to try ketchup on just about anything.
I have 22 first cousins ranging in age from younger than 10 to mid to late thirties. I am not really sure; it is kind of hard to keep track.
I always have at least 5 different tubes of chapstick open and in various locations.
I do not need glasses but I sometimes wear them because they make feel studious.
