So today at Safeway the guy in front of me was buying condoms and was quite obviously self conscious of it. He wouldn’t even put the box on the counter until he was right up next to the cashier, and the entire time he refused to even glance anywhere else. Wouldn’t having to come back and buy Plan B or the pregnancy test be 100x worse?
On that note, it seems that anything having to do with the pelvic region is fair game for embarrassment when purchasing.
Laxatives, stool softeners, tampons, pads, condoms, pregnancy tests (unless you actually want a baby, I guess), anything to cure a yeast infection.
And then there is the stuff that goes with other bodily ailments. Anti-dandruff shampoo, extra-strength deodorant (especially for girls), lice treatment, wart remover, facial bleach…
Is it just me, or is it ironic that we all want the perfect/healthy body, yet some of the products that go along with that are the ones we least want to buy?
